About this policy
The Dome Vancouver is a live event venue in British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, newsletter, and ticketing, and how we use it. It is governed by Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Definitions
- Personal information: information that identifies you or can be linked to you, such as your name, email address, IP address, or activity on this site.
- Cookie: a small text file stored in your browser, usually containing an identifier that helps a site recognize you between visits.
- Tracking pixel: code that loads on a page and notifies a third party (such as Meta or TikTok) of your visit for advertising measurement.

- Third party: a separate company that provides part of the service, such as Google or TicketTailor.

We obtain your consent before we collect, use, or disclose your personal information, except where the law permits otherwise. You provide express consent when you accept cookies, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us. Consent is implied for the basic operation of the site. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done beforehand.
Personal information we collect
- Information you provide: your email address when you subscribe, and the contents of any message you send us.
- Information collected automatically: your IP address, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, your device and browser, and advertising and analytics identifiers.
- Information collected by our partners: TicketTailor processes ticket purchases and Resend delivers our newsletter, each collecting the information required to perform its service.
How we use your personal information

- To send our newsletter.
- To list shows and link to ticket purchases.
- To respond to your enquiries.
We do not make decisions that significantly affect you based solely on automated processing.

Newsletter
When you subscribe, we share your email address with Resend, our email delivery provider, which stores it and sends our newsletter on our behalf. We retain it until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter email or by contacting us. Resend's privacy policy.
Ticket purchases
We do not sell tickets directly. When you select Buy Tickets, you are directed to TicketTailor, which collects the name, email, payment, and other details needed to issue your ticket. We do not see or store your payment information. We receive only limited event information from TicketTailor (show, date, price, availability) to display on our site. TicketTailor's privacy policy.
How we share your personal information
We share personal information only with the third parties listed above and only for the purposes described. We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose information where required by law, such as a court order or lawful government request.
Opting out
- Newsletter: use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, or contact us.
- Cookies and tracking pixels: use the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
- All other uses: contact us and tell us what you would like us to stop.
Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary:
- Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe.
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months.
- Advertising pixel cookies: up to 13 months.
- Web server logs: 90 days.
- Ticket purchase data: retained by TicketTailor under its own policy.
- Messages you send us: up to 24 months after our last reply.
We delete or anonymize personal information when it is no longer needed.
Information security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable hosting providers. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA, you may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
- Withdraw consent to our use of your information.
- Delete your information, unless we are required to retain it.
- Complain to a regulator if you believe we have mishandled your information.

How to exercise your rights
Email info@domevancouver.com with "Privacy" in the subject line, telling us which right you wish to exercise and enough information for us to locate your records. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity. There is no charge except in unusual cases, which we will tell you about in advance.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we handled your personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer at the email below. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact one of the regulators listed above.
Information stored outside Canada
Many of the providers listed above are located in the United States, and TicketTailor is located in the United Kingdom. Your information may be stored or processed in those countries and may be subject to their laws, including lawful access by foreign authorities.
Other websites we link to
Our website links to third-party sites, including TicketTailor, social media platforms, and partner venues. Once you follow a link, you are subject to that company's privacy practices, which this policy does not cover. Please review each company's privacy policy.
Children's information
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Updates to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If the change is significant, we will post a notice on the site.
